Three Canadian Air Force helicopters at the Vimy Memorial

Sunday october 17th, 2021

An exceptional visit was organized on the site of the Canadian National Vimy Memorial by Lt.Colonel Dubois, Commander of the 430th Tactical Helicopter Squadron. Three aircraft, CH -146 Griffons, from the squadron installed at Canadian Forces Base Valcartier {Quebec}, flew over the Memorial site and finally landed on the esplanade in front of the monument. The members of the squadron then took part in a ceremony of meditation. Our President, Philippe Martin, met the commander in order to testify to our attachment to this site of memory. On this occasion, he gave each member our association’s lapel pin. The spectators were authorized to approach the aircrafts and exchanged a few words with the crew members.
